We just returned from a long vacation in the Catskill Mountains, where we went on long runs, long hikes, and spent long amounts of time in the hot tub.

I recently wrote about one of my favorite musicians/bands, Dolfish. Music Music Music Part II features me shamelessly plugging my own band, Emily & the Complexes. Our new album Baby, Get To It Before The Heartbreak dropped TODAY.

Let's talk about Dolfish. The man behind the music, Max Sollisch, might be one of the sweetest people I've ever met. His new album, Foreclosure American Dreams, dropped today. It's been four years in the making, and it was well worth the wait.

What we're reading, watching, listening to, or consuming this week at Two Dollar Radio Corporate Headquarters.

This Sunday is the social event of the summer, Columbus Flea's Summer Flea, and we'll have a booth! Swing by and get yo' self the latest swag, from summer's hottest release The Incantations of Daniel Johnston, Masande Ntshanga's groundbreaking debut The Reactive, to one of our 2016 Wolfpack t-shirts, a stylish tote, or one of our Sippy Cup koozies.

I admittedly cringe at nostalgia, particularly when it's being referenced or practiced by those in my generation. It's tough to hear someone in their mid-30s/40s talking about videogames. Or wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt. Or getting sweaty for the new Star Wars series. So I went into Netflix's new series, Stranger Things, rather apprehensive.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of going to Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. We were joined by some other amazing indie presses at the coolest tent in the park—Book Fort. I spent most of the weekend behind the table selling books and applying temporary tattoos. Here are a few standout moments from my experience (other than the obvious):

The craft beer movement has hit almost every town across America by now. We here at Two Dollar Radio draw a lot of inspiration from kick-ass label artwork. Because this is America and we make everything a competition, I thought we could compare craft beer bottles/cans from Ohio and Michigan. We all get along, don't we?

“Ovaries so big we don’t need balls” is the motto of Ovarian Psycos, an all-women troop of cyclists reclaiming the streets of LA. The use of bikes stems from the feeling of being “free of all the bullshit that has us locked into this matrix of consumption, free of obstacles that get in the way of our ability to navigate.”

Summer is tattoo season apparently! Last week we welcomed Brynn and Kit from Ohio to the Two Dollar Radio Tattoo Club. This week we're happy to welcome an even newer member!
