Music is a big influence to us here at Two Dollar Radio. There's usually always music playing in Corporate Headquarters. So it should come as no surprise that a couple of us are musical. Here's a couple new tracks for you to bop your head to.

Since publishing The Incantations of Daniel Johnston, we've been stumbling into Ricardo Cavolo's illustrations everywhere it seems. From skateboards to album covers to surfboards. And that's even excluding the murals for Urban Outfitters, the Montreal Airport, and Fox Sports Mexico.

This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Pitchfork Music Festival will be all up in Union Park in Chicago. We're very excited that Two Dollar Radio will have a booth at the festival for the first time as part of Book Fort!

It's pretty cool that the Tattoo Club is becoming a thing that friends do together. First, there was Bryan and Cassandra in Arkansas, who with three buddies got Two Dollar Radio tattoos. Now, Brynn and Kit, two friends from the far north: Toledo, Ohio!

It's been a long, winding road from when Ricardo Cavolo first shared his comic, El Desorganismo de Daniel Johnston with me. It was on the heels of using his artwork on the cover of Karolina Waclawiak's debut novel, How to Get Into the Twin Palms. Like all Ricardo's work, I was immediately transfixed, my eyeballs absorbed and perhaps in shock. Like a good story, his art features several layers of images within images, which beckons for repeat viewings.

Fun fact: reading is fun and can be done anywhere. Since everyone loves a good listicle, we've compiled a list of 10 great places to read a Two Dollar Radio book.

Our first graphic novel, The Incantations of Daniel Johnston, by Ricardo Cavolo and Scott McClanahan is buzzing! Literally. An excerpt just appeared in BuzzFeed (super rad). Early reviews have praised the book and I myself love it so fucking much. In honor of Daniel Johnston himself, I reached out to our beloved Two Dollar Radio Street Team to see what they had to say about his music and more...
