Staff Spotlight: Anna
Get to know the people behind the Two Dollar Radio Headquarters. This week, we interviewed Anna, our (former) resident seitan slinger.
What are some of your interests/background?
Outside of slinging seitan at Two Dollar Radio HQ I am a ceramic artist, plant enthusiast, cat loving, adventure seeker. I am passionate about living a creative and fulfilling life that involves a constant pursuit of knowledge and growth. I have a B.A. in psychology and studio art and this fall I am continuing my education at OCAC to eventually go on to teach ceramics.

What book have you read and loved in the past year?
Earlier this year I read a Train in Winter, which is a nonfiction book about women during the holocaust and the underground French resistance. It was captivating, sad, and informative.
Why did you want to work for Two Dollar Radio?
I work at Two Dollar Radio because not only does their menu fit with my ideals about eliminating animal products from our everyday lives, but also I enjoy being a member of the atmosphere and general mission statement that is created throughout the store and the numerous events.
What are you listening to right now? (music or podcast or both)
Lately I have been in a sort of “throwback” mood, listening to a lot of the stooges, the clash, bowie, velvet underground. However, I listen to a pretty wide mix of music on a daily basis.
If you could go on a date with anyone, real or fictional, who would it be and what would you do?
Oh jeez, this is a hard one. I think I would want to go on a date with Oliver Sacks, he has had a huge influence as a neurologist, and some of his books are amongst my favorites. I think it would be really interesting to discuss his ideas about the mind and his work with patients suffering from rather rare and obscure quirks.
*Anna has since gone on to bigger and brighter things and we wish her all the best <3
