On the Dial | Independent Bookstore Day

Independent Bookstore Day | Radio Waves

Independent presses (like us) and independent bookstores (opposite Barnes & Noble$$) go together like peas and carrots.

Independent Bookstore Day "is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. But in addition to authors, live music, cupcakes, scavenger hunts, kids events, art tables, readings, barbecues, contests, and other fun stuff, there are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day."

Similar to Record Store Day, Independent Bookstore Day is celebrated across the country in different ways with exclusive book releases. This year the event will be celebrated on April 29th, which is coming in hot, so find your local bookstore and go spend all your monies.

We would like to thank ALL the independent shops who carry our books and make dope shelf talkers and special shelves, and "pick" our books as staff picks and "book of the month." We seriously LOVE YOU.

We aim to do this by presenting bold works of literary merit, each book, individually and collectively, providing a sonic progression that we believe to be too loud to ignore.
