On the Dial | 101 Movies To Watch Before You Die

101 Movies To Watch Before You Die | Radio Waves

Ricardo Cavolo's got a new book from Nobrow Press coming soon called 101 Movies to Watch Before You Die. If you're not familiar with Cavolo, we are massive fans. He collabed with Scott McClanahan on The Incantations of Daniel Johnston and did the cover art for Karolina Waclawiak's How To Get Into The Twin Palms. Nobrow also released his previous book 101 Artists To Listen To Before You Die.

Aside from books, his illustrations are everywhere it seems. From skateboards to album covers to surfboards. And that's even excluding the murals for Urban Outfitters, the Montreal Airport, and Fox Sports Mexico.

Nobrow's take on the new book:

Taking the form of a diary, Ricardo Cavolo‘s favourite films are described and drawn in his unique, visceral style, creating a mesmerising book for both film and art lovers.

Travel through the world of film, from Goodfellas to The GooniesHarry Potter to Apocalypse Now in a magical and heartfelt exploration of the movies that have shaped Cavolo‘s life and the lives of his generation.
